PUPIL TESTIMONIALS
'Passed First Time!' |
|
I had a fantastic experience learning with Gloucestershire Driving School. The instructor filled me with confidence and made learning to drive fun! I would highly recommend Gloucestershire Driving School to anyone thinking of starting to drive. The instructors take you at a pace that you're comfortable with. Through their support and judgement I put in for my test and, to prove their knowledge and techniques work, I passed first time, with only 5 minors! The thing I found great was that instructor was a laugh and a joy to learn with, he made you feel relaxed which in turn helped me to focus.
Just to say thanks for all your help and support that helped me pass my test today!

Thanks Jamie |
|
My previous instructor was extremely unreliable and it was such a relief to find Jamie who I immediately warmed to. Jamie is patient, professional and relaxed – a calming influence which has made learning to drive a joy. He gave me the confidence in my abilities and I managed to pass first time!
Jamie is an exemplary instructor and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is learning to drive.

Passed First Time |
|
I had an absolutely fantastic instructor. He instilled confidence in me from the very first lesson and never made me feel nervous. The lessons always had a relaxed and fun atmosphere and was always so encouraging and patient... especially with my inability to reverse round a corner!! He was also very professional, explaining everything clearly and helping me with any problems or bad habits.
The pace of lessons was great and nothing was rushed. Having passed my theory with the help of Cds I was given, we booked my drving test once he thought I was ready and I passed first time!!
I would seriously recommend Gloucestershire Driving School to everyone! Thanks so much for getting me through!

First Time With These Guys! |
I had previously had lessons and taken a few unsuccessful driving tests but gave up when I went to uni. I recently moved to Cheltenham after graduation and decided to give it another shot. I took the free first lesson and ended up booking a block of ten.
Chris encouraged me to put in for my test pretty much straight away and assured me I would be ready by the day and I passed on the first attempt.
Chris is a great instructor, very laid-back and never makes you feel stupid for doing things wrong. Chris also taught me driving as a whole instead of focusing on what I thought were problem areas which in turn made them less of an issue by the end of my 10 lessons. They are also very good value for money – highly recommended!

I took the FREE lesson... |
When I turned 17 I started learning to drive but I hated my driving instructor so I gave up and just never got back into it. Now that I am in my last year at uni I realised it was about time I got my backside into gear so that when I do graduate I have the opportunity to get a job where ever my heart desires!!
After a free lesson with Chris I decided to go with the 20 hour course after I passing my theory. And hey presto 2 months later I've passed my driving test first time!!
Chris was an awesome instructor, so friendly and laid back - he made lessons fun and enjoyable no matter how intense and close to test day they were. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone who's looking at learning to drive.

'I was having lessons with my old instructor and it seemed to me like he was taking his time teaching me so i was thinking about changing my instructor, i was getting ready to book my practical test when he called me up to say he had quit his job so i had to find a new instructor. A friend recommended me to chris so i booked a lesson and was told to book my test right away, i passed first time thanks to chris, he's by far the best instructor ever!! I'd recommend him to anyone looking to learn to drive quickly!! I learnt and passed within 4 months

1st time (with these guys) |
|
After 4 years of trying to get the confidence to learn to drive I stumbled across Gloucestershire Driving School and their fantastic deal for an intensive course(i did the midway pass course). The instructor instantly welcomed me as a pupil and starting working on building my confidence to drive rather than rushing me through. Now, a couple of months later, I feel confident on the road and have passed first time!
I had a fantastic instructor who worked hard to relate to the needs of all his pupils and is always able to calm nerves with his positive approach. I would highly recommend Gloucestershire Driving School to anyone, especially if you have previously had problems learning. Proof of their success can be seen from the fact that they are the largest driving school in the county and still growing!

1st Time Pass |

Learning was an enjoyable and easy experience, lessons travelled at a pace suitable to the for me. There was no pushing me into anything i didn't feel ready for, nor was I held back from trying new things and progressing. I was able to book lessons at times to suit me and Chris was always flexible about were lessons started/finished to suit me. Most important of all I was put forward for my first test as soon as Chris felt i was ready, and to prove his judgment was correct I passed first time with only 4 minors. Finally my advice is listen to your instructor and you will do well, and gain the freedom that driving brings. Good Luck.

My first driving lesson was as nerve racking as I could imagine most peoples were, but my instructor took steady steps to help me build my cofidence and feel at ease before and during my first time behind the wheel.
He started by talking me through the steps we were going to take and demonstrating them slowly before I had a go myself. I was reminded to take as much time as I needed which took a lot of pressure of my shoulders.
Before long I was on the road. My instructor was extremely patient from the start, which helped with my confidence at the best of times, and I had no doubt that my driving was improving. I highly recommend Gloucestershire Driving School to anyone about to start lessons.
You gain help with your theory, and your practical and their instructing techniques really do help with your confidence and determination to start driving in a relaxed and friendly environment.
I passed first time in both my theory and practical test, and now I'm happy driving on the road by myself with the knowledge, confidence and experience that Gloucestershire Driving School has given me and happily guided me through. I'm glad that I chose Gloucestershire Driving School - extremely recommended!

Fast results! |

I needed to pass quickly, to get a new job. I was 26 and never got round to doing anything about it. I found these guys by searching the web. I wanted to do a course over a week. After speaking to them, they asked me to consider a 6 week course. They thought it would not be so stressful. Having waited 9 years already, what was another 5 weeks. It was great. It took me sometime to get the basics but as soon as that fell into place it became more natural. Well apart from the time I burst the front tyre. I still maintain the pavement jumped out at me. Instructor was great, did not shout, even though I had just smacked his car.

Enjoyable Courses |
|
I was looking for a younger instructor than you normally see teaching. I had been told about another school but i saw this driving school picking up someone else. Gave them a call and found them very helpful and friendly. Learning was mostly an enjoyable experience. I got frustrated with a few things. I have told my friends to go with Gloucestershire driving school and I got a free lesson for every friend I recommended. I passed on my second attempt. Nerves got the better of me on my first try.

I passed with these guys |

When I told Chris he was to be my 5th driving instructor, he sounded a little apprehensive and asked what had happened to the others! But until then I had not found an instructor who I was completely comfortable with. My lessons were always good fun and very rewarding, each week I could see my improvements. Chris was very supportive, constructive and conscientious and I knew I was being taught by a pro! I was coaxed out of all my bad habits and completely prepared for my test, and when the day came, I passed first time! I am now enjoying cruising about in my old banger, and all thanks to these guys!

Getting It Done |

Had another instructor and felt I was going over the same things every week. Felt the test was going to take forever. Gave Gloucestershire driving school a call and spoke to Chris. Chris passed my number onto one of his instructors. I was able to do as many lessons a week and took a test in no time. Big thanks to Bob.

Booked it via their website! |

I found Gloucestershire Driving through searching the web. When I spoke to them they were friendly and answered all my question, some of which I thought were stupid but I needed to ask them. We arranged a block of 10 lessons and off we went. I work in a hospital so I had to leave it quite late before I knew when I was free each week but always fitted me in. Although I failed first time, I sailed through the 2nd time and I would recommend them, like I already have.

The instructor was very friendly |

I was having lessons with another instructor who shouted at me when I did things wrong. I decided to change and asked a friend who she was learning with. I phoned Gloucestershire Driving School and arranged a one off lesson. I was a bit put off by the previous experience so wanted to check them out before committing. The first lesson was a laugh. The instructor was serious when needed but made me relaxed and driving was fun. I passed a month ago and I am now doing my pass plus.
